⛰️ Callout: You are lifted to high levels of success by those working beside you and below you. Always.

- To achieve high level of success, you need the cooperation of others; and to achieve the cooperation of others, you must express leadership skills to do things they would not do if they were not led.
- The four rules of leadership:
- Trade minds with people you want to influence
- Think: What is the human way to handle this?
- Think progress, believe in progress, push for progress
- Take time out to confer with yourself and develop your supreme thinking power.
Trade Minds With People You Want to Influence
- This is a magic way to get others to act the way you want them to act.
- To get others to do what you want them to do, you must see things through their eyes: this is called trading minds.
- If you solely focus on what you want, rather than what you peers do, then they will never listen.
- If you're selling clothes, create designs that your buyers like, not you like. This is easier said than done.
- Consider the other person's situation. Put yourself in his shoes. Analyze his interests, income, intelligence, and background; it may differ significantly from yours.
- Ask yourself: "if I were in his situation, how would I react to this?"
- Take the action that would move you if you were that other person.
What is the human way to handle this?

- Whenever you face a difficult matter among people, ask yourself: "what is the human way to handle this?"
- Avoid sarcasm. Avoid being cynical. Avoid taking people down a peg or two. Avoid putting others in place.
- Let your actions show that you put people first: show that you care about your subordinates. As a general rule, the more interest you show in a person, the more he will produce for you.
- Praise your subordinates genuinely at every opportunity; praise is the greatest single incentive you can give people, and it costs you nothing.
